Thai Original BBQ is along Gellert Blvd. and located near Round Table and Ling Nam. There is plenty of parking nearby. The restaurant is on the smaller side and I believe they have a separate room if you were to have a large party. They also have a fish tank towards the front that has a few cute fishy.
Today I ordered my usual, the panang curry with rice. It is a red curry with beef and a few slices of jalapeno that can easily be picked to the side if you don't want it. The menu states it may be spicy, but I have never found the curry to be spicy. I believe it's probably noted because of the jalapeno.
Service is not consistent everyday. There are days where I sat there waiting to wave them over because we have been done for awhile and have been ready to pay. Luckily today they were very attentive. My mother and I were able to have a nice quick lunch before running errands. -

I've been going here as a kid, so as best I can I don't want to be seen as biased. When I was a kid, this used to be my go-to Thai spot for my family - always great food, never a wait, but also busy. We have 2 must orders - BBQ Chicken and Dearest Crab with a side order of their special rice on the side. Since then, this place has been a little run down - paint fading, dirty tables, and rips in the cushion masked with tape. It doesn't get that busy, the nice servers have all left, and the food can sometimes be inconsistent. BUT we do still come back for BBQ Chicken and Dearest Crab, and while it's not the greatest restaurant to sit down and enjoy a meal at. These two things are still always very enjoyable. If you go here, get these two things!

Great spot for BBQ Beef
The hot sweet glazed BBQ beef on a skewer that you can pull easily with your teeth is tasty. I was heavily focused on eating the beef; I forgot to dip it in the peanut sauce. I felt that the peanut sauce was unnecessary for the beef, and took away some of the natural elements already in the meat. This hands down is outshines "Thai Stick" in Millbrae.
I stopped by with "my partner in crime" to be the judge of some delicious food.
I was pleased about the shrimp fresh and firm with no briny smell or odor. We ordered the "The Monster appetizer, light, chilling and refreshing.
The Shrimp Pad Thai was my favorite take away from this visit. It was sweet and savory with no over use of salt
There was one more dish we tried. I can not recall the name but the broccoli was a tad mushy and over cooked.
This last comment is for health awareness, if you possess certain allergies such as "peanuts", eggs, soybean, and shellfish. The restaurant uses a lot of these ingredients incorporated in their dishes. -

I have so many memories when I think of this place, it's always been my go to spot after school at night time. I love the food here! The Pad Thai and thai tea here is pretty good. I actually really love how they cook their vegetables, they make broccoli taste like it isn't a vegetable ha! For dessert, we tend to get the fried bananas , and as you can imagine with anything fried, it always hits the spot.
This place is never busy to the point where there isn't enough seats and the price is fairly reasonable. I only come here at night so I'm not sure how it is earlier in the day but it's the place I go to when I'm craving Thai food. -

Oh wow. Just terrible. Globs of red pepper flakes on curry and pad Thai for 'medium' spicy. Dry shrimp on the pad Thai and hunks of chicken with bone and skin on in the yellow curry. Inedible.
